10 At a dance, MMHS students and guests will: • Demonstrate proper conduct. • Comply with all county and school rules and policies. • Dress to suit the occasion. • Leave the activity only when they do not intend to return. • Leave decorations in place. Student Services Student Assistance School counselors will assist students with problems related to academics, behaviors, peer relationships and grades. Our counselors will help students plan class schedules and guide them in the selection of courses. Students may schedule appointments with a counselor or social worker before school, during lunch or after school. Our social worker is available to provide services to students to enhance their emotional well-being and improve their academic performance. Staff includes: • Middle School – Mary Bose • High School – Brian Hollamon • Social Worker – Annette Brown • Career Coach – Amy Rhodes • College Counselor- Charlotte Driscoll • Enrollment and Registration – Cassandra O’Neal • School Counseling Associate – Carissa Vogel Visiting the Nurse • Students must have a digital pass to visit the nurse’s office. • If there is a necessity for a student to be sent home, the nurse will inform the parent/guardian, and the student will need to be signed out in the Attendance Office. • Please remember that students are NOT permitted to carry any form of medication without having the proper documentation on from their physician on file with the school nurse. • If it is necessary for a student to take medication during the school day, MMHS will follow the Wicomico County Policy for Administration of Medication guidelines (approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing and reviewed by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy). For more information and any questions contact our school nurse. Lost and Found Check the lost and found bin at the main office for missing items. Unclaimed items will be cleaned out several times per year following the announcements and donated to charity.
