14 WORLD LANGUAGES (Gr 8-12) Instruction is provided in Spanish, French, and Latin based on WCPS curriculum documents aligned to MSDE standards and the ACTFL World Readiness Standards. PHYSICAL EDUCATION Wicomico County Public Schools created lessons based on the MSDE Standards and Grade Level Outcomes. HEALTH Wicomico County Public Schools created lessons based on the MSDE Standards and Grade Level Outcomes. FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCE Wicomico County Public Schools created lessons based on the MSDE Standards and Grade Level Outcomes. ELEMENTARY ART (PreK-5) WCPS created curriculum documents aligned to National and Maryland Fine Arts standards and framework. Resources include Art of Education University Pro-Learning. ELEMENTARY MUSIC (PreK-5) WCPS created curriculum documents aligned to the National and Maryland Fine Art standards and framework. Resources include Quavermusic.com and Essential Elements (instrumental) for distance as well as in-person learning. SECONDARY ART (Gr 6-12) WCPS created curriculum documents aligned to the National and Maryland Fine Arts standards and framework. Resources include Art of Education University, Art Talk, and Creative Cloud Suite. AP course offerings in high school. SECONDARY MUSIC (GR 6-12) WCPS created curriculum documents aligned to the National and Maryland Fine Arts standards and framework. Instrumental, choral, and general courses designed for distance as well as in-person learning. AP Music Theory offered in high school. TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION Curriculum resources are based on the International Technology Education Association curriculum frameworks for both middle and high school courses. All teachers have access to local scope and sequence documents and have received training prior to the beginning of the school year to make modifications to content delivery tomatch the virtual classroom schedule. COMPUTER EDUCATION (Middle School) Curriculum resources are based on the Code.Org “Discovery” units of study to meet the requirements for computational learning. Teachers received additional training in the delivery of this content this summer to develop a revised scope and sequence for both computer-based and unplugged lessons. CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION CTE teachers received a multiday training on how to incorporate virtual resources that were evaluated and deemed best to engage students in CTE courses of study. For the Fall semester much of the theory-based instruction will be presented by CTE teacher so that when students return to face-to-face instruction, they can complete the application portion of the CTE courses. In addition, prerequisite knowledge needed for student certifications will be evaluated on an ongoing basis as small groups of students are brought back into the CTE shared time center.
