This time will be dedicated to synchronous or asynchronous, teacher-led learning. Wednesday will be asynchronous, student feedback, small group instruction and individual student support. • Help will be available by phone and email: o Teacher office hours online, as shared by the teacher with students and parents/guardians o Additional support for school families in both instruction and technology from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday through the Family Help Line 410-677-5200 (410-677-5236 to leave a message for assistance in Spanish or Haitian Creole) or studenthelp@wcboe.org f or help in English, Spanish or Haitian Creole • Family Portal w ill be open 24/7 starting Sept. 1 (grades 1-12), with information on student assignments, grades and attendance CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) The Office of Career and Technical Education is developing a system to support students who are enrolled in a Career and Technical Education (CTE) course, including technology education or computer science, or program of study for the 2020-2021 academic year. CTE programs of study by their very nature are designed to be hands-on and in-person, and we will strive to provide face-to-face opportunities in schools and in industry settings when feasible. Planning is underway to bring in small groups of CTE students in late September/early October for in-person learning opportunities. Student credentials and certifications will be a basis for instruction for students in grades 10-12.
