71 o To the maximum extent possible, a minimum of three (3) windows on both sides of the school bus should remain cracked (to the first notch) during student transport. Preferably, one to the front, one in the middle, and one to the rear of the school bus. Additionally, both roof hatches should always be partially opened to provide proper ventilation of the vehicle while students are on board. BUS CLEANING/SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT • Disposable gloves should be worn to clean and disinfect the bus. • Buses and specialized equipment will be cleaned and disinfected more frequently and thoroughly. o All buses will be routinely disinfected twice a day, at the completion of its morning and afternoon runs. • Focus on “high - touch” areas of the bus, such as o High-touch areas, including buttons, handholds, pull cords, rails, steering wheels, door handles, shift knobs, dashboard controls and stanchions, should be cleaned more frequently. o Window ledges o Spot cleaning walls and seats o Specialized equipment such as wheelchair tie-downs, STAR seats, cam raps Student Seating to Ensure Physical Distancing While Being Transported on WCPS School Buses
